UV curing is used in the printing industry where high-intensity UV light is used to instantly cure or dry inks. The UV light uses light instead of heat to harden ink instantly. The lamp contains a quartz plate that is placed between the lamp and the substrate and the plate does not absorb UV rays. It is used to reradiate the rays at a temperature lower than the lamp.
