Our Aqua Ultraviolet 25 Watt Compatible UV Light Bulb for Germicidal Water Treatment has a four pin connector on a single end and is a guaranteed replacement bulb. With worry-free performance for one year, the 17.7 inch length lamp is 100% compatible with Aqua UV germicidal OEM water sterilization filters, water purifiers and UV sanitizers.
The lamp is made out of ceramic and is capable of protecting you from waterborne bacteria, virus, molds and pathogens. This method is a cost-effective way of purifying containments such as giardia and cryptosporidium. With a UV intensity of 253.7 nm, the UV lamp is capable of altering the DNA of the harmful microorganisms, rendering them harmless. This method of water treatment does not use chemicals, which means that it does not alter the taste, pH and chemistry of water. Since this is a purely physical state of change in water, it is considered by many as a much better alternative to chlorination. People are also of the opinion that it is necessary to change the UV light bulb every year for better efficiency.
