Our Philips - G8T5 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Air/Water Treatment bulb is a guaranteed replacement UV bulb that has wattage of 8 Watts and a lamp length of 12". The air and water treatment bulb provides a worry-free performance for one year and is completely compatible with germicidal air, water, sterilization filter, sanitizer and purifiers.
The lamp makes use of UVC light to destroy bacteria present inside the water. It emits a short wavelength of 253.7nm that acts on the genetic makeup of the microorganisms and renders them harmless. This replacement germicidal bulb has a G5 miniature bi-pin base on both ends that is used for air and water purification. The light bulb is a high quality one and is low on mercury dosage to meet environmental standards. The UV lamp starts instantly and makes use of a coil filament that works hot.
