The Pura - 10-212 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a guaranteed replacement UV light bulb that gives you clean purified water at all times. The germicidal bulb has wattage of 13 Watts and an average lifespan of 10,000 hours. The four pin bulb has a 10.8" lamp length and provides a worry-free performance for a year. We recommend that you replace the bulb annually even if it continues to emit light.
The lamp makes use of UV-C light to inactivate bacteria, protozoa, yeast and other harmful pathogens present in water. It releases a short wavelength of 253.7nm that acts on the genetics of the microorganisms. The fixture provides low mercury dosage that meets environmental standards.
The germicidal water treatment bulb comes with a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. The coating also keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit. This results in easy disposal of glass if it shatters and renders it easy to operate the system. All you will need to do is to select the option above.
