The Sunlight Systems - LP4220 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a 10 Watts germicidal UV water treatment bulb that has a length of 8.35 inches. The four pin on a single end light bulb has ceramic as its base material and an average lifespan of 10,000 hours.
The light bulb is completely compatible with germicidal OEM water and air disinfection filters, ultraviolet purifiers and UV sanitizers. The UV lamp is thoroughly tested and has a life of up to 10,000 hours after which the germicidal UV output diminishes while the lamp may continue to emit light. With a peak output of 254NM, the water treatment bulb reacts photo-chemically with the genetics of the microorganisms and prevents them from reproducing. Studies show that UV water purification has the ability to destroy 99.9% of waterborne microorganisms.
