The Wedeco – 7AP UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is 84 watts UV bulb that has a lamp length of 34.45 inches and gives you a worry-free performance for an entire year. With lead wire and connector on a single end base, the ceramic lamp bulb emits a wavelength range of 254 nm. This range destroys the reproduction capabilities of microorganisms present in water.
The lamp makes use of UV-C light to inactivate and kill bacteria, molds, protozoa, viruses and yeasts. Water treatment using the UVC method requires no handling of chemicals and it does not need any specialized storage. The UVC treatment of water does not cause change in odor, taste, chemistry and pH of water. This method is a preferred method of water treatment from chemicals and their byproducts.
The germicidal water treatment bulb comes with a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. The coating also keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit.
