The Siemens - LP4150 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a 14 Watts UV light bulb that has two pin on both the ends and a 11.3" lamp length. The germicidal light bulb provides you a worry-free experience for an entire year after which we recommend that you replace the light bulb. The germicidal water treatment bulb is compatible with OEM water filters, sanitizers and purifiers. The 254nm wavelength produced by the lamp helps in inactivating bacteria, molds, virus and yeast present in water. This radiation is considered to be highly lethal for microorganisms and alters their genetic framework and prevents them from reproducing. What more, UV system is an environmentally friendly alternative to chlorine disinfection.
The germicidal water treatment bulb comes with a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. The coating also keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit. This results in easy disposal of glass if it shatters and renders it easy to operate the system. All you will need to do is to select the option above. The UV lamp starts instantly and makes use of a coil filament that operates hot.
