The Siemens - LP4125 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a four pin water treatment bulb that has wattage of 16 Watts. This water treatment bulb has a life of one year after which we highly recommend that you replace the bulb for efficient working of the system. The lamp makes use of UV-C light to kill and inactivate bacteria and make them incapable of reproduction. This is possible as the lamp emits a wavelength that destructs the genetics of the bacteria. The fixture has a low mercury dosage that meets environmental demands.
Researchers are of the opinion that this method of sterilizing water is a purely physical process. It does not affect the chemistry, pH or taste of water in the process and is a much better option to chemicals and their bi-products.
The germicidal water treatment bulb comes with a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. The coating also keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit. This results in easy disposal of glass if it shatters and renders it easy to operate the system. All you will need to do is to select the option above.
