The Bio-Fighter 09729 UV Bulb for G24 Light System is a 14" UV Bulb for Bio-Fighter G24 213554-00. The germicidal water treatment bulb is compatible with OEM Water sterilization filters, UV sanitizers and water purifiers. The lamp releases 253.7nm UV light that inactivates bacteria, protozoa, molds and yeasts and renders them incapable of reproduction. The water treatment bulb meets environment demands as it features low mercury dosage and has long lifespan. Further, the UV process of water treatment is a completely physical process and does not make use of chemicals and their byproducts.
The germicidal water treatment bulb comes with a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. The coating also keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit. This results in easy disposal of glass if it shatters and renders it easy to operate the system. All you will need to do is to select the option above. The UV lamp starts instantly and makes use of a coil filament that operates hot. What period of time does "long lasting" mean? If the bulb is still burning, is there a lifespan that the intensity of light produced needs to be considered? Currently being used on each side of the A/C Handler Coil. Yearly replacement seems excessive. Is it necessary?
If your light is on 24/7 we expect the light to last 14,000 hours which is a bit over 19 months. However, if it comes on and off with the unit, 3 year bulbs are usually fine.
