The Ideal Horizons - SH-10 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a guaranteed replacement UV bulb that has miniature bi-pin on both the ends. The 17.17 inch lamp bulb gives you a worry-free performance for an entire year and has wattage of 20 watts. With ceramic as its base material, the germicidal water treatment bulb has an average lifespan of up to 10,000 hours after which we recommend that you replace the lamp bulb.
The lamp makes use of UV-C light at the intensity of 254nm. This wavelength destroys the genetics of the microorganisms present in water and renders them incapable of reproduction.
The germicidal water treatment bulb comes with a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. The coating also keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit. This results in easy disposal of glass if it shatters and renders it easy to operate the system. All you will need to do is to select the option above. The UV lamp starts instantly and makes use of a coil filament that operates hot.
