The Siemens - LP4265 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a miniature two pin UV bulb that has 38 Watts and a worry-free performance for an entire year. The germicidal water treatment bulb inactivates bacteria, molds, protozoa in water and renders them incapable of reproduction. The light bulb has a miniature 2 pin base that helps in water purification. The germicidal water treatment bulb is low on mercury dosage and makes this an environmental friendly solution. The UV method of water purification is a completely physical process and has no side-effects as chlorination.
The UV lamp is thoroughly tested and has a life of up to 10,000 hours after which the germicidal UV output diminishes while the lamp may continue to emit light. The UV lamp has a total length of 31.3 inches and has a peak output of 253.7nm.
The germicidal water treatment bulb comes with a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. The coating also keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit.
