The 3D UV Test Chamber BS-05 is a large irradiation system designed for double-sided, three-dimensional exposure of samples using UV or visible light. It includes options for a stainless steel or fused silica sample plate, or a rotating holder for fluid mixing. Like all BS irradiation chambers, the BS-05 offers precise time- and dose-controlled irradiation with UV light.
The chamber can be fully configured for one spectral range—UVC, UVB, or UVA—to achieve the highest possible irradiance. Alternatively, it can operate with two independently controlled lamp groups for different spectral ranges, providing exceptional flexibility for varied testing requirements.
The spacious irradiation chamber features an internal area of 33.8 x 25.6 in (86 x 65 cm) and a height of 12.6 in (32 cm). The maximum sample chamber temperature during operation is approximately 77 °F (25 °C), preventing thermal damage to the samples. Thanks to its high irradiation uniformity, samples can be freely positioned without affecting exposure results.
For control, the BS-05 is compatible with the UV-MAT and UV-MAT Touch systems, which independently manage two spectral ranges and maintain a constant irradiation dose. They compensate for factors such as lamp aging, contamination, and temperature variations. Calibrated sensors with a high-precision analog-to-digital converter and temperature sensor record every dose accurately.
The UV-MAT Touch model features a high-resolution capacitive touchscreen interface powered by a Cortex ARM processor, ensuring long-term reliability and update capability for on-site implementation of new functions. It is fully compatible with Windows 10/11 and provides both numerical and graphical displays of single- or multi-channel irradiations, oscillograms, and configuration settings. All parameters are intuitive to set and password-protected directly on the device.
Alternatively, the UV-MAT Touch can be operated from a PC, enabling multi-stage irradiation processes and comprehensive documentation of the tests performed.
