The Opsytec UV Test Chamber BS-04 is a high-performance, industrial-grade system designed for precise UV irradiation of samples under time- or dose-controlled conditions. Built with durability and flexibility in mind, this large chamber is ideal for photo stability testing, UV material evaluation, curing, and biological irradiation.
- Spectral configuration: fully configurable for UV-A, UV-B, or UV-C spectral regions, achieving maximum irradiance in each range.
- Dual lamp control: option for two independently controlled lamp groups, allowing mixed or selective spectral operation.
- Chamber dimensions: internal area of 86 × 65 cm² and a height of 32 cm, suitable for large or multiple samples.
- Sample carrier: sliding tray for easy loading and unloading, supporting up to 20 kg of sample weight.
- Temperature stability: operating temperature of approximately 77 °F (25 °C), preventing thermal damage to sensitive specimens.
- Irradiance uniformity: ensures consistent exposure across all sample positions.
Control systems
The BS-04 integrates advanced irradiation control through UV-MAT or UV-MAT Touch systems.
Each spectral range is regulated separately to maintain a constant dose, compensating for lamp ageing, contamination, or temperature fluctuations.
Calibrated sensors with high-accuracy analog-to-digital converters and integrated temperature sensors ensure exact dose measurement.
The UV-MAT Touch is operated via a high-resolution capacitive touchscreen powered by a Cortex ARM processor for fast response and long-term reliability. It is compatible with Windows 10 and 11 for seamless data logging and software control. The interface displays numerical and graphical irradiance data, oscillograms, and parameter settings with intuitive and password-protected configuration directly on the device.
Software and connectivity
Optional PC control enables multi-stage irradiation sequences and comprehensive documentation of all exposure parameters.
The UV-MAT Control Software provides real-time monitoring, graphical data visualization, and export options for detailed reporting.
Typical applications
- Photo stability testing of materials and coatings
- UV and daylight exposure for plastics, paints, and adhesives
- UV curing, sealing, and bonding processes
- Biological irradiation (bacteria and cell cultures)
- Controlled UVA-352 / UVB-313 irradiations
