CureUV Industrial IR Heating Curing Conveyor
Infrared Heating Tunnel Operation
The IR heating system consists of a long enclosed heating tunnel equipped with multiple infrared emitters positioned above the conveyor path. Products move continuously through the tunnel on a controlled-speed conveyor, receiving a precise amount of radiant heat.
As the coated substrate travels through the heating chamber, the infrared emitters rapidly transfer energy to the coating layer, enabling processes such as:
- Pre-heating wet coatings before UV curing
- Accelerated solvent evaporation
- Surface smoothing and leveling
- Controlled heating prior to finishing processes
The conveyor speed and tunnel length determine the dwell time (exposure time) of each product, allowing operators to fine-tune heating performance for different materials and coating formulations.
IR emitters reach operating temperature almost instantly, eliminating long pre-heating cycles and enabling faster production startup compared with conventional thermal systems.
Performance & Capabilities
- High-efficiency infrared heating system for rapid coating activation
- Direct energy transfer to substrates reduces wasted heat and improves efficiency
- Capable of processing up to 1,200 m² per hour depending on substrate type and operating conditions
- Provides uniform surface heating to ensure consistent coating finishes
- Adjustable conveyor speed allows precise dwell-time control
- Suitable for continuous production environments and automated finishing lines
- Compact tunnel design requires less floor space compared with traditional convection ovens
Different materials absorb infrared radiation differently, allowing the system to heat the coating layer without overheating the underlying substrate. This is particularly beneficial when processing materials such as engineered wood panels, plastics, or composite boards.
Compatible Coating Systems
The CureUV IR heating conveyor is compatible with a wide range of coating technologies, including:
- UV-curable coatings and lacquers
- Water-based coatings
- Industrial paints
- Wood stains
- Other finishing materials requiring controlled thermal activation
Applications
- Wood panel and engineered flooring finishing
- Furniture and cabinetry manufacturing
- Decorative surface coatings
- UV coating line integration
- Industrial substrate preparation
- Continuous finishing production lines
The system is designed for integration into automated finishing lines, where it can operate as a pre-heating stage before UV curing systems or as part of a multi-stage drying process.
Structural Design
The machine frame is constructed from 50 × 150 mm high-strength square HSS tubing combined with 3 mm cold steel plate, providing a rigid and durable structure capable of long-term industrial operation.
The enclosed heating chamber protects the infrared emitters while improving both safety and energy efficiency by reducing heat loss to the surrounding environment.
This robust construction ensures stable operation and minimal maintenance even in demanding production environments.
Conveyor System
The conveyor system uses a stainless steel wire mesh belt designed to withstand high temperatures and maintain stable product transport through the heating tunnel.
The conveyor speed can be adjusted to control the dwell time of each workpiece inside the heating zone. Optional variable frequency drive (VFD) control allows operators to synchronize conveyor speed with upstream and downstream equipment in a finishing line.
Electrical Control System
The system is operated through a centralized control panel, which allows operators to configure:
- Heating zone temperatures
- Conveyor speed
- Power levels of the IR emitters
This provides precise control of heating conditions to ensure consistent results across different materials and coating formulations.
