Our CureUV brand Replacement UVC Light Bulb for Philips TUV 230W WE XPT SE UNP is 240-watt with a base style of 4 pins on a single-end UV bulb. The UVC bulb measures 61.18 inches and can last up to 10,000 hours. This UVC light bulb usually has up to 12 months of life after which we recommend replacing it for optimal effectiveness. The replacement bulb is made using ceramic as the base material and comes in a non-ozone glass type.
With a peak output of 253.7nm, the UVC light technology is capable of sterilizing and killing 99.9% of germs such as bacteria, viruses, protozoa, yeast, and molds. These specialized UV lamps from CureUV produce a high quantity of damaging ultraviolet light that destroys harmful microorganisms without altering the composition of water, its pH, or its taste. Do I need shatterproof coating?
Although shatterproof coating can lower the intensity of the UV-C bulb by as much as 15%, it is recommended for applications in which it is crucial to avoid potential glass breakage at all costs. These applications include but are not limited to food processing and medical institutions. However, if glass breakage would be inconvenient but not catastrophic, skipping the costly shatterproof coating is quite alright. After all, we do not use shatterproof coating with our glasses and plates at home. The UV lamp starts instantly and makes use of a coil filament that operates hot.
