The CureUV.com's Equivalent Replacement for Germicidal UV-C Light Bulb Siemens/Sunlight LP4700 is a 4-pin step, single-ended lamp. It is an instant start, low-ozone-producing lamp that is 39 watts. The UVC bulb measures 33.85 inches and can last you for up to 10,000 hours. This UVC light bulb usually has up to 12 months of life after which we recommend replacing it for optimal effectiveness.
With a peak output of 185nm, UV Lamp generates ultraviolet energy that effectively produces ozone, a natural sanitizer, and a deodorizer. A 185 nm UV light produces UV energy in wavelengths shorter than 220 nm which decompresses oxygen to produce ozone. The replacement bulb works to sanitize and kill bacteria, protozoa, molds, viruses, and yeasts present in water and air. These specialized UV lamps from CureUV produce a high quantity of damaging ultraviolet light that destroys harmful microorganisms without altering the composition of water, its pH, or its taste. This method of ultraviolet purification makes water safe for human consumption without the side effects of chemicals such as chlorine.
UVC ozone lamps remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as mercaptans, sulfides, and ammonia. One of the advantages of ozone light is that it can be transported through the air to places where direct UV exposure cannot reach.
