The Siemens - LP4165 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment provides you a worry-free performance for an entire year. The 16 Watts bulb is compatible with germicidal filters, purifiers and sanitizers. The germicidal water treatment has low mercury dosage and meets environmental demands. The lamp makes use of UV-C light to kill bacteria, protozoa and molds. The light bulb has a single pin that helps in water purification.
The UV lamp is thoroughly tested and has a life of up to 10,000 hours after which the germicidal UV output diminishes while the lamp may continue to emit light. The UV lamp has a total length of 14 inches and has a peak output of 253.7nm. This energy reacts photo-chemically with the genetics of the microorganisms and prevents them from reproducing. Studies show that UV water purification has the ability to destroy 99.9% of waterborne microorganisms.
The germicidal water treatment bulb comes with a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. The coating also keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit. This results in easy disposal of glass if it shatters and renders it easy to operate the system. All you will need to do is to select the option above. The UV lamp starts instantly and makes use of a coil filament that operates hot.
