The Siemens - LP4220 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a guaranteed replacement UV bulb that gives you worry-free performance for an entire year. The 10Watts bulb has a length of 8.35" and a four pin on a single end base. The ceramic bulb has low mercury dosage to meet environmental demands.
This method of sterilizing water is a purely physical process and does not alter the pH, taste or chemistry of water and is a much better option than chemicals and their byproducts. This system provides protection against water contaminants such as yeast, cyst, bacteria, virus and protozoa.
The germicidal water treatment bulb comes with a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. The coating also keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit. This results in easy disposal of glass if it shatters and renders it easy to operate the system. All you will need to do is to select the option above. The UV lamp starts instantly and makes use of a coil filament that operates hot.
