4 Pin on a Single End - 23 Watt Germicidal Water Treatment Bulb

CureUV’s Aqua Treatment Service ATS4-463 Replacement UVC Light Bulb is a 23 Watt germicidal water treatment bulb that has a total length of 18.23 nm and a life of up to 10,000 hours. This UV-C bulb is compatible with the following germicidal UV-C system:

  • ATS4-463

This UV-C bulb is made out of ceramic and has a base style of four pin on a single end. UV purification system is capable of protecting you from waterborne bacteria, molds, viruses and other pathogenic microorganisms such as giardia and cryptosporidium. This method is known to be a cost effective way of protecting water from contaminants. With the intensity of 253.7 nm, the UV light emitted by the light bulb kills DNA and other microorganisms in water. When water is exposed to a UV light source it renders the microbes and bacteria present in water sterile. Researchers are of the opinion that UV rays are effective to destroy 99.99% germs in water that may possibly cause harmful bacteria and microorganismss such as organisms causing gastroenteritis, typhoid, influenza virus, Vibrio cholerae, and hepatitis virus strains. Since UV filters do not introduce chemicals into the water and is a purely physical state, it is a far better option to chlorination and its by-products. Experts are of the opinion that it is better to replace the UV light bulb annually though it may continue to emit light for efficiency.
