Guaranteed Replacement Ultraviolet (UV) Bulb - Miniature 2 Pin (bipin) - 38 Watts - 31.3 Inch Length Lamp - Worry Free Performance for 1 Year
The Water Master - WG-1231L/2P UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a 38 watt UV bulb that has an average lifespan of 10,000 hours. The 31.3 inch UV bulb has mini bipin and emits UV light to inactivate and kill bacteria, molds, virus and protozoa present in water.
High on quality, the fixture is low on mercury dosage to meet the demands of the environment. The light bulb is completely compatible with germicidal OEM water and air disinfection filters, ultraviolet purifiers and UV sanitizers. The UV lamp is thoroughly tested and has a life of up to 10,000 hours after which the germicidal UV output diminishes while the lamp may continue to emit light. The UV lamp has a peak output of 254nm. This energy reacts photo-chemically with the genetics of the microorganisms and prevents them from reproducing. Studies show that UV water purification has the ability to destroy 99.9% of waterborne microorganisms.
This method of sterilizing water is a purely physical process and does not alter the pH, taste or chemistry of water and is a much better option than chemicals and their byproducts.
