Powerful and Heavy Duty 72 watt UV Light for HVAC
Ships same day! (Orders before 5pm EST)
In times of stress, sadness and sometimes even joy people often say, “Just breathe.” But, as much as we might follow that advice, the real efficacy of it doesn’t actually depend on us. The truth is, that a good breath is really only as good as the quality of the air. Here at CureUV, we’ve long recognized that, and because of it we’ve become the industry leaders in harnessing UV tech to provide the cleanest, freshest air possible. So with us and the use of our innovative products, you really can “Just breathe”.
And now with our Heavy Duty 72 Watt Watt UVC HVAC Air Purifier breathing is even easier. Suitable for use in homes, schools, offices, work-floors and medical rooms to sanitize air and environmental surfaces, this device is effective in small and large rooms/buildings alike, up to 2400 square foot. With a powerful 72 watt bulb and a standard electrical unit, you can insert this premium UV-C bulb into any HVAC system as an easy add on to sanitize the air in the system.
– Are Air purifiers worth it?
UV-C air purifiers are worth it. Typical air purifier units and HVAC systems are definitely useful, designed to filter and ventilate air well. But even the finest filters can’t stop atomic sized bacteria and viruses. This device is therefore a great extra add on because it really does target and stop bacteria and viruses from circulating.
Sanitizes and disinfects air passing through the HVAC system
This 72Watt bulb emits UV-C light of 254nm. At that wavelength, the emitted light is able to penetrate and kill the DNA of these atomic sized organisms that create problems for humans. UV-C emission also acts to eliminate mold spores, yeast, and fungi.
So, inserting this unit device into your HVAC system ensures that not only will the air that moves through your building be ventilated it will also be irradiated and disinfected as it passes over the bulb. So instead of just filtered air in your system, you’ll end up with sanitized, healthy air!
To see the effective UVC output and irradiance check out the figures below
UVC Output (measured on EIT UV Power Puck II)
- @1" around bulbs output is 8.5 mw/cm^2
- @5" around bulbs output is 4 mw/cm^2
- @10" around bulbs output is 1.75 mw/cm^2
* mw/cm^2 is a measure of the light intensity at a given moment. Prolonged exposure at the above intensity measures means cleaner sanitized air
– Are Air purifiers safe?
Eliminates VOC’s and toxic compounds and fumes making air much safer to inhale
UV-C air purifiers are safest. Most HVAC systems – air cooling or heating systems - are made of building components that contain or cause the release Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's). This is especially true of larger industrial use spaces. And as we increasingly spend more time indoors, these compounds contribute to allergies and overall poor health. The marvel of UV-C is that it is able to eliminate and destroy these compounds, to create even fresher air. Any pesticides, building materials, cabinetry, furniture, damp carpet, air fresheners or cleaning product fumes are also destroyed
Keeps HVAC system clean
Moreover because the device operates on any item exposed to it, the vital coil system and inside surface of the HVAC, next to which the device is to be placed will also be irradiated by the UV-C emissions.
Also, the bulbs do not emit any ozone
- Are air purifiers expensive and costly to run
Energy Efficient – bulb last 10, 000 hours!
Add on features like this one are great because you can just insert them into an already installed and operating HVAC system with minimal additional running costs. And since our premium bulbs are guaranteed to last at least a year, you won’t spend too much having to maintain the unit.
Key Design Features
- Dual bulb design for maximum light exposure – to ensure that the UV-C lights hit all of the air that passes through the duct.
- 72 Watt system is the most powerful bulb – most devices are typically only effective in small rooms but with this level of wattage you can use this device in large rooms and building types
- Sealed design prevents contact with voltage and UV rays
How to connect the 72 watt in an HVAC unit?
This device is easy to install, capable of DIY application. For instructions on how to do so, check out the manual or have a look at the instructional video below.
Be sure to turn off the HVAC system before installation
DIY Installation Video:
This fixture incorporates a lamp which emits ultraviolet radiation harmful to the eyes and skin. Precautions must be taken to insure that personnel are not exposed to direct or reflected light.
