CureUV’s Aquafine 3084 Replacement UVC Light Bulb has a total length of 33.19" and an arc length of 30.12". With a single pin double ended base style, the UVC light bulb has a 10,000 hours life rate. The 39 Watt germicidal water treatment bulb is compatible to the germicidal OEM water disinfection filters, sterilizers and UV water purifiers.
The CureUV light bulb is thoroughly tested and annual replacement is recommended for better efficiency. The replacement bulb emits a short wavelength output of 253.7 nm. This wavelength reacts photo-chemically with the genetics of the microorganisms and prevents them from multiplying. Studies are of the opinion that the UV water purification has the ability to destroy 99.9% waterborne microorganisms. This process of sterilizing water is a purely a physical process and does not alter the pH, taste or chemistry of water. The UV system protects you from containments such as yeast, cyst, virus, bacteria and protozoa.
