Opsytec Irradiation Chamber BS-03 is a medium-sized irradiation chamber engineered for precise, time- or dose-controlled exposure of samples to UVA, UVB, or UVC light. Supplied fully assembled with all essential components, it offers a complete, ready-to-use solution for laboratory and industrial applications. The chamber can be configured for a single spectral range to maximize irradiance or with two independently controlled lamp groups for multi-range applications.

Precision Control

Opsytec Irradiation Chamber BS-03 includes a high-performance controller and integrated sensors, providing:

Heat Load & Operating Temperature

The total heat load of the BS-03 chamber is 1,433 BTU/hr (420 watts), including both the lamps and the internal electronics inside the chamber.

The controller consumes approximately 34 BTU/hr (10 watts).

During continuous operation, the typical temperature increase inside the chamber is approximately 9–18 °F (5–10 °C), helping maintain safe and stable operating conditions for sensitive samples.

The cooling system operates through natural airflow: surrounding air enters from the bottom of the chamber, passes over the samples and lamps, and is vented out through the top of the chamber. This design helps regulate internal temperature and prevents excessive thermal buildup during extended irradiation cycles.

  • UV-MAT Touch Irradiation Controller: Digital control of irradiation with intuitive 5" capacitive touch display, data storage on USB stick, and two sensor connections
  • PC software for UV-MAT Touch: Supports complex, multistage irradiation (up to 30 dose- or time-controlled steps) with logging on the PC
    RMD Sensor UVC (200–280 nm, 0–1 W/cm²): Factory-calibrated, with DAkkS calibration certificate
  • UVC Bulbs for irradiation chamber BS-03
    Mesh Filter for lamps: Reduces irradiance to approx. 35% (one per lamp)
  • Area Attenuator: Reduces irradiance to approx. 30%
  • DAkkS calibration: ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibration of sensors for precise irradiance measurement
  • Included accessories: USB cable and USB stick with software
