Our CureUV brand Replacement UVC Light Bulb for Philips 261693 is a TL 60-Watt /10-R SLV/25 UV bulb that features a G13 base. Flexo print TL lamps emit almost all of their light (99.9%) in the useful UVA and visible blue wavebands – between 350 and 400 nm – and have peak intensity at 370 nm. This makes them ideal for flexo printing equipment and photopolymerization processes. In addition, the 'R' lamps in the family have an internal 200-degree reflector to optimize the lamp's overall efficiency further.

Do I need shatterproof coating?

Although shatterproof coating can lower the intensity of the UV-C bulb by as much as 15%, it is recommended for applications in which it is crucial to avoid potential glass breakage at all costs. These applications include but are not limited to food processing and medical institutions. However, if glass breakage would be inconvenient but not catastrophic, skipping the costly shatterproof coating is quite alright. After all, we do not use shatterproof coating with our glasses and plates at home.
